We’re a queer-owned, Manchester-based small business that has supplied high-quality, stunning wigs to drag artists, theatres, and TV productions worldwide since 2019.
Our wigs have graced the stages of RuPaul’s Drag Race across multiple seasons. We’ve had the privilege of working with winners such as Alyssa Edwards, Danny Beard, Lawrence Chaney and Blu Hydrangea, along with many other talented queens.
At Mann-Handled Wigs, quality is key. We focus on creating wigs with natural-looking hairlines and durable, showstopping styles that can withstand the demands of performance. We use innovative techniques—replacing traditional styling products like bobbles and gels with zip ties and strong adhesives—to ensure each wig is built to last. Our goal is for your wig to look amazing and hold its shape long after it's styled.
As a drag queen herself, our wig stylist understands the importance of a wig that not only looks amazing but also stands up to the demands of a performance. That’s why every wig is styled with the needs of drag in mind — durable, secure, and ready to handle the movement and heat of the stage. Each wig is designed to be both show-stopping and built to last, so performers can focus on their art without worrying about their hair.
We exclusively use synthetic hair for its durability, ethical sourcing, and affordability. Synthetic wigs are far more resilient than human hair, allowing us to create more extravagant, long-lasting styles. Plus, unlike human hair, the curls in synthetic wigs won’t fall out, ensuring your look stays perfect after multiple wears. So, whether you're rocking a bold 80's perm or a dramatic, gravity-defying style, your wig will stay flawless until the next show.
We aim to be your ultimate destination for all things drag, offering not just wigs but a full range of drag essentials. Working closely with trusted suppliers, we ensure that every product meets our high standards of quality. Located in the heart of Manchester City Centre, we offer a convenient collection service for locals, and we’re also exploring a drop-off service directly to your venue within the Gay Village. For those outside the area, we also offer delivery. However, due to new GPSR regulations following Brexit, we are currently only able to supply the style wigs to the EU (no other products), though we are working to reopen EU shipping for all products in the near future. Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for queens to get everything they need, all in one place.
